I was referred to Dr. Della Mora by a different doctor however i would not recommend her to most others. That is at least if you are looking for an autism evaluation. I scheduled an appointment with her for an autism eval and an ADHD eval as well which she said she could do only later to tell me in person (after a 2 hour drive) that autism is not her specialty but that she would "try her best". After a two hour interview of her asking invasive questions about off topic areas such as being very interested and prodding for details of triggering experiences in my life (those that I have diagnosed CPTSD from) that had little to nothing to do with my reasons for being there. She told me that I have the "autism feel" with no explanation as to why. Overall the first part of the experience was very tiring and triggering to me which she did not acknowledge.
The second part of the evaluation is a neuro psych test that takes 8 hours. The woman who did my eval was very kind and I will only note that most other places I looked at did the test in two days as to not tire both recipient and evaluator out. They also did not do an autism evaluation.
I waited over a month and a half to receive my evaluation (I received the bill first) which very crudely and rudely wrote about the sensitive information I shared with her and made false quotes about both what I and what my partner commented on such as saying they called me bizarre. And even then she claimed that she did not have enough information to diagnose me and suggested I go somewhere else. After she told me in person that she believed that I did have autism. This was the most expensive waste of my time I have ever paid for.
On top of that she also did my partner's evaluation (which she messed up the time for and double booked and only told us 45 minutes into our drive) so the evaluation was an hour shorter than normal but priced the same of course. During this she did not ask my partner any of the questions she asked me even though we were getting the same evaluation and she stated that they were not autistic they were just quirky and should move to a liberal city. My partner cant live in cities because the noise and overwhelming nature of them which was explained by them in their interview, by me, and in their written prep work.
