As a Mom of two teenage boys sometimes I am at a loss as to how to connect with my sons so I can guide them to avoiding some of the mistakes I have made in my life. I am so grateful to of found Cyndy for my 16 year old that is struggling with social circles, friendships that may not be the best for him and giving in to peer pressures. We tried traditional talk therapy but I believed that life skills on how to navigate teenage challenges was what he needed. Cyndy is helping him with just that. She connected with him quickly and he is enjoying having her to talk to and learn some life strategies and tools that I know he will take with him into college and beyond. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5, I would! Cyndy Etler, "The Teen Life Coach" has been critical in helping my teen do a complete 180! I researched and spoke with many coaches before hiring Cyndy - and I'm so glad that we chose to work with her (and she made time for us!). My teen experienced therapy in the past and refused to go anymore because it brought up too much pain; she was ready to give up on herself and her life. Luckily, she agreed to work with a coach that specializes in teens and who would focus on creating a future and not ruminating in the past. Cyndy's coaching approach with teens is relatable, direct, supportive, and wise. She uses her own life and past to get honest and speak at the level that teens need. She also offers what most teens don't have, a non-judgmental listening ear. As parents, we can react when our teens tell us things that are hard to hear so they clam up. Cyndy creates a safe space where teens can be open and real - and she guides them to find their best selves along the way. I really don't know what we would have done without Cyndy. She has changed our lives. (both my teen's life - and mine, just knowing my teen is going to be okay!)

Cyndy has been such a wonderful coach for my 14yo son. She has made herself available to his needs....even when it is not on our normal scheduled time. That is Very Hard to find! As a mom of a teenager.... I find it very hard to understand and relate to the times. Navigating all of the new peer pressures (which a child can never get away from now) and harder work load at school, has just been difficult for his father and me.
